Our firm only represents financial institutions in public finance transaction. Together, our members, George and Anne bring over 70 years of broad public finance expertise to such representation. We’ve seen it all.

With our sole focus on representation of financial institutions, we avoid the ethical conflicts of interest that often arise with bond counsel firms practicing in this area.

Although our firm’s scope of practice is currently limited, our attorneys have extensive experience representing issuers as bond counsel in multiple states, and representing borrowers in conduit financings. This experience gives us perspective and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the parties to transactions we handle. Our attorneys also have extensive experience in general commercial finance and secured transactions, with the ability to structure collateral and security for complicated transactions. The breadth of our experience allows us to provide innovative solutions to problems that arise.

We have been involved with and have helped to refine and expand the Association for Governmental Leasing & Finance Fifty-State Survey, which is a survey of the powers of states and certain other political subdivisions to lease/purchase property. Our attorneys have conducted detailed legal research into the debt limitations and other legal issues for states and political subdivisions in all fifty states.

We value the collaborative nature of the public finance practice, and we enjoy working as a team with our clients and the other parties in a transaction.

Our firm currently limits its practice to representing banks, other financial institutions and their subsidiaries in a wide range of public finance transactions, including:

→ General obligation bonds

→ Revenue bonds

→ Full faith and credit obligations

→ Lease-purchase transactions

→ Qualified 501(c)(3) conduit financings

→ Small issue manufacturing and processing financings
